This protocol will stamp liquid from a full rectangle of wells to a new or existing container. Only full rows or columns can be stamped, and the stamp will maintain the same shape of wells.
|Source container||A container of liquid sample that you wish to reformat into a new container|
|Destination plate (from inventory)||A container that you wish to transfer sample into from your source container|
Stamp uses a multichannel pipette to perform this liquid handling operation. To learn more about multichannel liquid handling and the

|Stamp Groups||A stamp group defines all parameters for a single stamp operation. Additional stamp operations may be specified by clicking the 'Add Stamp Groups' link at the bottom of the stamp group.|
|Source Wells - Full rows or columns||Source wells must form a complete rectangle containing either entire rows or entire columns.|
|Transfer volume||The volume from the selected source wells to be stamped|
|Destination||Select either a new container or a container from your inventory to contain the transfer volume from the source quadrant.|
New containers can be of type
From your inventory select a container.
|New plate name (new container)||The name for the resulting new container.|
|Container type (new container)||The container type for the new container. Select from |
|Storage condition||The storage temperature you require for the destination container: either '-80 C', '-20 C', '4 C' or 'Room Temperature'.|
|Top Left Destination Well||The top left well of the rectangle in the destination plate to which the transfer volume from the source wells should be placed.|
This protocol outputs either a new container or an existing container with the specified volume of liquid stamped from the source wells to the destination wells. New containers will be stored in your Inventory at the specified storage condition. Existing containers will be returned to the storage condition from which they came.
No measurement data is returned by this protocol.
Ensure you are aware of the dead volume in the source container. Dead volumes can be found in the containers section here. Failure to take into account dead volumes can result in insufficient volume being stamped.
